Advice and Guidance NVQ
Advice and Guidance NVQs are suitable for people working in a support or advisory situation. This can cover a wide range of organisations including volunteer groups, housing associations, support networks, employment services, career guidance, student services etc.
If you are a potential candidate or are responsible for the training of someone who’d like to do an NVQ then contact TSW to speak to an adviser about which qualification would best suit the role.
TSW offers 3 levels of the Advice and Guidance NVQ available to suit candidates at differing stages of job development. These are:
Advice & Guidance Level 4 - This qualification is for the fully developed and experienced practitioner, particularly in guidance and in formal advocacy. They might also have some management and training responsibilities. In addition, they could be creators of information, advice and guidance either being disseminated themselves as practitioners or through their organisations in the form of publications. They have a more dynamic relationship with other organisation. NVQ Level 4 PDF available here
Advice & Guidance Level 3 - This qualification is primarily for people who work directly with clients, disseminating information, advice and some level of guidance. They will be working with information that is often interpreted by others, and working within some clear guidelines. NVQ Level 3 PDF available here
Advice & Guidance Level 2- This qualification is primarily for people who work in an administrative or customer service role, but are aiming to become practitioners in advice and guidance. NVQ Level 2 PDF available here.
