IOSH is Europe's leading body for individuals with a professional involvement in occupational safety and health in line with the relevant legislation and regulations such as the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999

CIEH is the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and is the UK's leading awarding body in health & safety. Qualifications are accredited and transferable.

NEBOSH is the National Examination Board in Occupational Health and attracts over 25,000 candidates annually and is recognised by IOSH and IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management).

NEBOSH General Certificate
This 12 day course (2 days of which are final examinations) gives a good foundation in health and safety for managers, supervisors and staff with health and safety among their day to day responsibilities.
These qualifications are widely taken as a first step towards a career in Health & Safety.

IOSH Directing Safely
This one day course is a senior level course aimed at health & safety policy makers.
Subjects covered include:

CIEH Principles of Manual Handling
This qualification will enable employees to contribute to the development of safer manual handling methods and tasks.

CIEH Principles of COSHH
This qualification prepares employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety
Helps organisations and individuals raise awareness of handling confrontational situations with a view to personal safety.

CIEH Intermediate Certificate in Supervising Health & Safety
Considers health and safety from a supervisory perspective and is recommended for supervisors, owners, team leaders and managers.

Risk Assesment Principles and Practice
This programme is designed to introduce the principles of risk assessment in compliance with Management of Health and Safety regulations (1999).

Office Safety & The USE of DSE
This course explores the requirements of the Health & Safety Act 1994 and recent European legislation regarding the office environment and the use of display screen equipment. An underestimated health & safety issue that can sometimes lead to serious and debilitating long term injiury.

Power Press
Designed for people involved in Power-press set-up and equipment maintenance, this course compliments the practical experience necessary to become an appointed person in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Factories Act and recent European legislation. Includes site vist
