The range of Occupational Health & Safety NVQ’s allow you to achieve a recognised qualification that is work-based and will demonstrate competence including knowledge and understanding in the field of occupational health.

These qualifications are suitable for people in a variety of work environments and are designed to reflect roles with health and safety responsibilities. The NVQ’s are available at the following levels:

Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety

This qualification consists of 7 mandatory units. Level 3 is designed for those who are not health safety or environment professionals, but who are involved in health and safety in their workplace and workplaces other than their own.

Level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice

This qualification consists of 13 mandatory units. Level 4 is designed for those with overall responsibility for health and safety in the workplace and appointed to provide health and safety assistance in organisations with significant hazards and complex risks. On achieving level 4 candidates will, with authorisation from IOSH, receive corporate membership of IOSH, achieving MIOSH status.
