TSW's 'Train the Trainer' Course is designed as a first step for those who require the skills to train, whether full time or as part of their job role. It provides the basic training techniques by encouraging a dynamic and flexible approach to training delivery.

This course is ideal for the first-time trainers who need to understand the basics of training skills and practices or those looking to refine their techniques; it is an excellent starting point for progression onto the 'Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training' qualification. It encourages a flexible approach to training delivery that takes account of learners' needs and preferences.

The course covers initial assessment, planning and preparation, training delivery, assessment and evaluation.

Who is the Course For?

The course is designed for:

  • Anyone looking to become a trainer for the first time
  • Potential in-house trainers from within an organisation
  • Existing trainers that would like to brush up on skills and techniques (Ask about Level 3 Education and Training if experienced without formal qualifications)

Pre-Course Preparation and Assessment

Delegates are requested to complete a pre-course questionnaire that will be handed to the tutor before the first day of the course. This ensures that the course is delivered to the highest quality and is relevant to delegate's needs and objectives.

The course includes a short micro-teach on a topic of your choosing and will contain peer evaluations.
