TitleCQI and IRCA Certified Internal Auditor (18026)
Time09:00 - 16:30
Duration2 days - 22nd and 23rd February 2018

Duration: 2 Days

This course has been specifically developed with a strong bias towards practical learning. After an initial introduction to the techniques used in auditing the course proceeds to a series of linked case studies which simulate a live audit. Feedback on performance is given at each stage so that course members can learn, practice and improve their auditing skills.

Delegates will cover an introduction to Quality Assurance, Audit Preparation (developing audit programmes, checklists and information gathering). Audit Techniques (various audit trails), Questioning Techniques (the auditors friends and enemies), Listening (Skills and problems), Reporting, Nonconformities and corrective action programmes - (identifying trends), Audit Follow-up and Close out.

This course is certified by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (18026). It is a flexible, highly interactive and participative course focusing on using auditing as an improvement tool in line with ISO 9001:2015 philosophy. Delegates upon successful completion of the course will receive an IRCA approved certificate.

Pre-Course Preparation and Assessment

Delegates are requested to complete a pre-course questionnaire that will be handed to the tutor before the first day of the course. This ensures that the course is delivered to the highest quality and is relevant to delegate's needs and objectives.

All students are recommended to have the following prior knowledge:

  • Understand the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle
  • A basic knowledge of the concepts of quality management and the relationship between quality managemnt and customer satisfaction
  • Understand commonly used quality management terms and definitions, as given in ISO 9000
  • An understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001, which may be gained by:
    • on the job experience
    • through self study
    • attending a MfQ ISO 9001 Awareness course
    • or completing an IRCA-certified QMS Foundation training course
