CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)

Programme Overview

Level 4 course
This course is progression and is designed for people in a teaching/training role, who has experience in the sector.
Must have access to learners and be able to carry out 30+ hours of teaching / training

Course Objectives

By completing this qualification you will be certified to work as an associate teacher without a formal qualification or if you are looking to work in adult education in the future this qualification will provide you with the foundation to do so.

Course Content

Four days of classroom teaching plus a 20-30 min micro teach, which is evaluated through peer assessment
Delegates must keep a reflective journal and produce a written evaluation of 1000+ words
Two knowledge-based written assignments to be completed
½ day evaluation day where all work is handed in
Initial assessment required prior to course - CV required for tutor to ensure pre-requisites are met

Pre-Requisites

A minimum of 30 hours teaching, training or lecturing time undertaken prior to course attendance
