Offering a new approach to health and safety training for non-managers, the IOSH Working Safely course offers all the health and safety basics in a high impact interactive package.
The course is designed to get you engaged with health and safety. The content and delivery are enjoyable and stimulating, produced to deliver vital health and safety messages. First-class, jargon-free technical content based on what people need to know in practice, not off-putting legal language but clear scenarios drawn from genuine work situations to drive home practical points.
Working Safely isn’t supposed to turn delegates into safety experts. It focuses on why health and safety is important, and how individuals can make a real difference to the wellbeing of themselves and others through changing their behaviour.
Working Safely meets the government’s guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100 per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘passport’ syllabus.
IOSH also offers the IOSH Managing Safely course, which is aimed at managers who have a responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.

Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ – and this course offers exactly that.
Our virtual courses offer a live, interactive digital experience. Hosted by our expert trainers using Microsoft Teams, you will join your fellow learners in a virtual classroom enabling you to carry out group work, discussions, and activities.
You will retain access for up to 3 months after completing the virtual classrooms, enabling you to receive support from your trainer when you take the learning back to the workplace.
Our Open Programme classroom courses offer an immersive experience. Our industry experts guide you through interactive content, using a range of group activities based on experiences you will face in your own workplace.
All courses include food and refreshments and are delivered regularly throughout the year at our Open Programme Venues.
