At the end of the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety, you will have a solid technical foundation of understanding and knowledge of fire safety. You’ll be able to provide fire safety expertise and be equipped to positively influence your fire safety culture and encourage safer employee behaviour.

You’ll also need to use the evidence presented in the scenario to complete a series of tasks. To pass the assessment, you must demonstrate everything you have learned throughout the course. 
  • The three-hour assignment asks you to complete a fire risk assessment using a fire risk assessment standard (like the Home Office fire guidance and PAS79-1:2020).

To earn the qualification, you must attend 28 hours with a trainer, plus complete 20 hours of private study.

Your results will always arrive within 50 days of submitting your exam and practical assessment.
