Power presses have always been considered to be high-risk machines and it is essential that they are properly inspected, tested and maintained to keep operators safe from serious injury.
It is a statutory requirement that power presses are examined and tested by a “competent person” before they are put into use for the first time. Similarly, it is imperative that employees are provided with mechanical power press safety training.
This course is designed to train delegates in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (PUWER 1998).

Delegates will be trained in accordance with the schedule of training laid down in the ‘Power Press Regulations’, and will be aware of other relevant legislation, i.e. Factories Act, Health & Safety at Work Act and recent European legislation (6 pack 1992).

There will be a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course.
