This practical and interactive two-day programme provides a clear introduction to Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC methodology.

Delegates will develop an understanding of how improvement projects are defined, delivered and sustained, and gain confidence in supporting improvement activity within their own area.

The course focuses on building awareness of improvement tools, terminology and structured problem-solving techniques that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

Course Content, Syllabus & Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain the DMAIC improvement methodology
  • Contribute to problem definition and Project Charters
  • Understand Voice of the Customer (VOC) and defining value 
  • Map a process using techniques such as Swimlane mapping
  • Understand key performance measures and basic KPIs
  • Support improvement activities including Kaizen and SMED
  • Apply standard work to help sustain improvement
  • Participate effectively in Gemba walks

The course introduces the language and structure of Lean Six Sigma and enables delegates to confidently support improvement projects within their organisation.

There is no formal assessment on this course.

Delegates receive a TSW Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate of Completion following full attendance.
