IEMA to ISEP

As of July 2025, IEMA has rebranded as ISEP, the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.

This is more than a name change; it’s a decisive step forward, uniting a global community under a clearer identity that reflects the scale, ambition, and importance of the profession.

At TSW Training, we’re proud to be a long-standing training partner of IEMA and now ISEP.

While the name has evolved, the purpose remains crystal clear: to develop sustainability professionals, drive environmental best practice, and equip learners and organisations with the tools to lead meaningful change.

Why the Change?

The move from IEMA to ISEP reflects a bolder, more inclusive identity for the global sustainability profession. This shift ensures the name clearly communicates the organisation’s focus on sustainability, the environment, and the professionals driving progress.

It’s a change designed to open doors, helping practitioners, employers, and learners instantly recognise what ISEP stands for and why it matters in today’s world.

What Does This Mean for TSW Learners?

If you’re currently enrolled on or considering a course like the ISEP Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management, here’s what you need to know:

  • Course content and quality remain unchanged. ISEP qualifications are developed with the same rigour, relevance, and global standards you’ve come to expect from IEMA.
  • Certificates will be issued under the new ISEP brand, but their recognition, credibility, and impact will remain unchanged.
  • Employers and professionals can expect continuity, with no disruption to existing learning journeys or certification pathways.

In short, the same gold standard training, backed by a refreshed and future-facing brand.

What Does ISEP Stand For?

As already mentioned, ISEP stands for the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.

ISEP champions the development of skilled, connected, and confident sustainability professionals worldwide. They:

  • Set standards for professional competence in sustainability and environmental practice.
  • Provide career pathways and CPD frameworks to develop and grow talent.
  • Influence policy, thought leadership, and best practice.
  • Connect over 21,000 members globally, building a stronger profession.

Their vision is one TSW Training fully supports: a sustainable world shaped by environmental and sustainability professionals.
