1. Practical observation

The practical assessment is completed throughout the course delivery. It’s an ongoing assessment that will involve learners demonstrating practical first-aid skills across several key areas.

2. Written/Oral questioning

Learners must answer a series of questions to ensure they understand the content. Our course assessor may use oral questioning to extract further information if needed to supplement learners’ written responses.

3. Accident Report Form

Learners must show evidence that they can accurately complete an accident report form.

The certificate is valid for three years from the date of issue; however, it is strongly recommended that an annual refresher course is completed.
